Why should I become a member of a medical society or association? What does this mean? Does it offer to me something or I just have to pay my membership fees?Sometimes the second is a reality!!

Hellenic Surgical Socity offers a great number of educational activites to Greek surgeons. However, it would be good that the monthly seminars be offered in one day, and not Monday and Tuesday, because we, doctors from Thessaloniki,cannot follow. Hellenic surgical society is nowadays better than ever.

Hellenic Endocrine Society
http://www.endo.gr/portal/ This is in my opinion the best medical society in Greece, according to the offers that are made to the members, while they do not ask a lot of money, as other societies do. There is a whole library for the members and I am very happy to be a member of this society!
European Society for Medical Oncology
